The dogman is coming!

 Revolution Bike in Charlevoix is pleased introduce the 11th Annual Dogman Challenge Fat Bike Race!  The Dogman Challenge is a 2 hour winter endurance event held entirely on the multi-use trails around Mt. McSauba Recreation Area and North Point Nature Preserve in Charlevoix, MI.

The course consists of a fast and challenging 2 mile loop along the lake shore and through rolling and wooded terrain. The riders to complete the most laps in 2 hours are the champions and will receive customized one of a kind Dogman metals.  Metals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the Men and Women's Open and Master 45+ divisions and Junior Division (17 and under - 45 minute race). 

The 2023 event is slated for February 18th. Online entry is open.  The race will be capped  at 100 riders, and there will be no day of registration.  Be sure to register soon to secure your entry.

Packet pick up is from 10 to 11:30am at the ski lodge at Mt McSauba on race day. Feel free to come early and ride the course.

The Awards Ceremony will take place at Mt McSauba after the race.


  • CANCELATION POLICY: If the event is cancelled, registrants will have the choice of deferring the registration payment to the 2024 event or donating the registration payment to the Dogman Challenge Fat Bike Race. If the registrant does not make a choice within two weeks of the cancelation notification, the payment will be considered a donation.
  • If the registrant cancels, there is no refund. If we need to cut back on registrants due to new state restrictions, we will go with 1st come, 1st served.
  • There will be no day of registrations.

NOTE: No e-bikes. Minimum 3.7" tires. Helmets required. Registrants must sign a waiver to compete.

The Dogman has been sighted in and around the woods of Mt McSauba.  Riders beware!
